Today was the first filming session of my production, and it didn’t
start out exactly as planned. However, I was resourceful enough to adapt to the
situation. The filming progressed smoothly without any hitches, however, in the
middle of recording my camera died. As to not become a hindrance to my actors
and their busy schedules, I decided to improvise and record the remaining clips
with my friend’s phone. It is quite noticeable the difference in quality,
however, this experience has allowed me to further expect these things and
become more prepared.
Using the crude
and unrefined clips that I recorded, I created a very rough draft of my final
product. By doing this, I created a general progression of the opening;
therefore, later I can record the quality clips at the next filming session.
Another obstacle
that I encountered was the lack of the hoverboard in my production. I couldn’t
obtain the hoverboard for today’s filming session, however, I will try my best
to ensure the solidity of my film, and stay true to my original concept.
Without the hoverboard, the film came out decently with engaging shots,
however, with the addition of the hoverboard, I feel that the film will come to
life with quicker, more precise movement. The next filming session will be
sometime this week, so I must prepare, stay tuned!
