Mise-en-scène

The costuming for my film opening is important in differentiating between the main character’s apparent, superfluous life and his concealed, unseen lifestyle as an agent for a secret organization. The players on the tennis court, or the main character’s teammates will be sporting typical tennis attire, such as, a polo shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes. The main character will be wearing this costume in the beginning of the opening, however, as the scene progresses the main character switches into a black suit, black tie, and sunglasses. However, the other characters in the scene don’t notice this switch, therefore emphasizing the dynamic shift between the lives of the main character.
The lighting of the film opening will maintain relatively bright due to the bright sunshine elevating the levels of brightness on the court.

The location was mentioned and explained more in-depth in previous blog posts.
